MODELS & TATTOOS:
EXPRESSION THROUGH DESIGN ELEMENTS & PRINCIPLES
The design brief required students to individually produce six
100mm x 100mm x 100mm abstract models and
accompanying tattoo drawings that capture the intentions
of expressing a design element using a design principle.
PROJECT 2
Bamboo Tectonics: Design Principles, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration
You are to develop a 1:1 Tectonic through a series of workshops, tests and investigations using scaled "study models" using bamboo, exploring architectural elements and principles with ergonomics and anthropometry. The final design will be produced as a 1:1 scale assembly and installation work.
INTERPRETATION & SENSORY
Principles, Tectonics and Sensory
Identify a dominant theme from from my understanding of design elements and principles and enhance the tectonic structure to create a poetic architectural representation and my own representation of the 1:1 Tectonic.
